Training Plan Template

Enter how often you train per week and how many weeks are left until the match. The template splits the weeks into three phases and suggests one block per training day. Print it, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog. You fill in the focus of the week and the averages by hand.

The split is a suggestion along the usual scheme, your coach adapts it.

Technique: Shot process, position, dry fire. Few scored shots, lots of repetition.

Scoring: Series with Ring Reader, goal average in view, focus of the week as a note.

Simulation: Match procedure with the clock: sighters, full shot count, no break in between.

Short: Short technique session, 20 to 30 shots, then stop.

Rest: No training. Check the gear, get sleep.

How the template splits the weeks

More than six weeks before the match counts as base, with two technique blocks per scoring block. Three to six weeks out is the build phase, technique and scoring alternating, and three weeks out the first simulation goes in. The last two weeks are the match phase: one simulation, one short technique session, rest otherwise. Without a match you get eight base weeks.

Goes with it

In Ring Reader you note the focus of the week in the training details, and the average comes from the series on its own.
