Training Rosters Pro
This feature requires Pro.
With training rosters you keep a squad’s results in one place — as a trainer in a club, or as a private group of friends and family. You reach the rosters page via the “Groups” tab in the navigation; the tab can be shown or hidden via the “Show the Groups tab in the navigation” switch right on the rosters page.
There you’ll see two lists: “My groups” (groups you manage) and “Member of” (groups you’ve joined). A group has a “Kind” of club or training roster — a club can act as an umbrella bundling several training rosters.
What the group shares
When creating a group, you decide under “What the group shares” who sees which data:
- “Results for trainers”: Trainers and managers see the full result history. Members don’t see each other. The default for club rosters.
- “Results for all members”: All active members see each other’s results — for shooter groups without a trainer, families and groups of friends.
- “Attendance only”: Trainers see who trained when (date and discipline) — never individual results. The most data-sparing variant, and often the right start for youth groups.
This setting cannot be changed after creation. Whoever joins consents to exactly the rules shown at join time — and that promise stands. If the group needs different rules, create a new group.
Creating a group
- Tap “Create group”.
- Give it a “Name” and choose the “Kind” (club or training roster). Optionally assign a training roster to a club.
- Under “What the group shares”, pick one of the three variants — carefully, it’s immutable.
Inviting members and trainers
- “QR invite”: The usual route for members. Show the QR code at the range or send the “Invite link”.
- “Invite trainer”: A separate invite link for additional trainers.
- “Regenerate” invalidates the previous invite link — for example if it ended up in the wrong hands.
Joins first land under “Join requests”: a trainer confirms each request individually or rejects it.
For minors under 16, the club must have a parental consent form on file before admission. That’s exactly what you confirm when approving; a printable consent form is linked in the approval dialog.
Joining and leaving
Open the invite link or scan the QR code. Before joining, Ring Reader shows exactly what you’ll share with the group — your full results with the trainers, with all members, or only your attendance. After that, your join waits for confirmation by a trainer.
You can leave a group at any time via “Leave group” — from then on, no results are shared with the group anymore. If a trainer removes a member, trainers likewise no longer see that person’s data.
The trainer view
As a trainer you see the group in three tabs: “Members”, “Calendar” and “Manage”. At the top are the key figures “Members”, “Active (30 d)” and “Series (30 d)”; inactive members are marked with “Inactive since”.
Tapping a member opens their results — as a “List” or as a “Calendar” that shows at a glance who trains how regularly. In groups set to “Results for all members”, members have that same view of each other.
Reports as PDF
For coaching work, Ring Reader creates reports as PDFs:
- “Performance report (PDF)”: for a single member over a selectable “Period” (last 3, 6 or 12 months, or calendar year), optionally filtered by a “Minimum score”.
- “Series protocols”: the shot-by-shot protocol of individual series.
- “Report (PDF)” for the whole group: an overview of activity and development in the period.
That gives you something in hand for the athlete talk, the parents or the federation — without the paper chase.
Roles
- “Owner”: created the group, can delete it.
- “Trainer”: sees data according to the group setting, confirms joins, creates reports.
- “Editor”: helps with management.
- “Member”: shares data according to the group setting.
Training rosters are built for the long run — for competitions with a leaderboard, Competitions are the right tool. A club sensibly uses both: the roster for training, the challenge for the club championship.
